"How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?" ~Dr. Seuss

December, the last month of the 2012, starts tomorrow. In addition to the month's biggest festivities - Hanukkah, Christmas - a few of the art exhibits that people will be talking about in 2013 are already on display. I am particularly excited about the Ai Weiwei exhibit "According to What?" that is currently at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, DC, and "The Civil War and American Art," also currently in DC has received some fantastic press. Both of these shows will travel to other museums in the country in 2013 but are on view now. See the list of must-see museum exhibits for 2013 for more artful ideas.

December also means that the winter season is here. Use this winter travel guide to start mapping out your travel adventures for the coming season.
