Just as Washington State has been abuzz with tourists since the launch of the Twilight series films, so, too, does North Carolina anticipate visitors thanks to the Hunger Games. The blockbuster film was shot on location in many different areas of western North Carolina, from woodlands to the cities. The North Carolina Tourism Board has laid out 12 Hunger Games locales in the state and has devised a four-day Hunger Games itinerary. The latter is loop from Charlotte to Ashville, and includes stops at locations where the film was shot, such as DuPont State Recreational Forest and the NASCAR Hall of Fame, to hotels where the actors stayed during filming. NC Tourism has also included recommendations for restaurants, bars, and wineries, in case of, uh, hunger.
