America's Best Restrooms

Here's a competition that has me, er, flush with excitement. The America's Best Restroom contest, run by the restroom supply company Cintas, has chosen 10 finalists to compete for the title of the best toilet in the United States. According to the contest rules, restrooms must be "immaculate, inviting, and...memorable."

This year, the 10 finalists include a restroom in a California winery; three hotel toilets - in Virginia, Texas, and Utah; two New York City restaurant bathrooms; and the restroom at the Field Museum in Chicago. Visit the contest website (link above) to view pictures, vote for your favorite (through September 19), and take notes. These toilets could become attractions in their own right.
